In some cases, this word is associated with some very negative examples, such as a death sentence given to a person or a severe punishment. The word fatwa has become popular thanks to media reports that tend to sensationalize stories in order to gain the widest possible audience. In an effort to achieve the highest possible ratings, the media needs to find enemies that they can portray as evil and bad because such stories instill fear among viewers and make them interested in continuing such stories. |
