Sample Text Muslims believe that God finally sent Muhammad (the last of the prophets) to convey the divine message to the whole world (to summarize and finish the word of God). In Islam, the normative example of Muhammad's life is called sunna (literally, trodden path). Such an example is preserved in a tradition known as a hadith (report) that narrates his words, actions and personal characteristics. Hadith qudsi (holy hadith) is a subtype of hadith as it is considered to be the words of God repeated by Muhammad which differ from the Quran in that they are words spoken by Muhammad personally while the Quran is the direct word of God. Year of publication: 1866.
