| Sample Text | The merger appeared in several types of tafsir and can be divided into two or three groups, i.e. tafsirbir-rivaja, by transmission, tafsirbir-raj, right opinion or knowledge and tafsirbil-ishara, indication. Tafsirbir-rivaja (also known as tafsirbil-matur) involves interpreting the Qur'an with the help of Qur'anic verses and using the explanations of the Prophet and his companions. Tafsirbir-raj (or tafsir bid-diraja) is not directly related to the transmission of knowledge from the past, but is based on reason. Exegesis stems from reasoning based on reason and ijtihad or qiyas. Tafsirbil-ishara deals with the details of concepts and ideas that are connected with the words and verses of the Qur'an. This type of tafsir is usually dealt with by authors who are inclined to mysticism. Year of publication: 1721. |
