| Sample Text | In Shia Islam, there is a third shahada phrase, Ali-un-waliullah, which expresses the significance of the Imamate. - The basic first phrase La-ilaha-ill-al-lah represents the cornerstone of Islam, the belief that there is no god but one God. It is an expression of tawhid (God's oneness). - The second phrase, Muhammad-ur-rasul-al-lah, means Muhammad is God's prophet, messenger, disciple. It is the acceptance of nabuwat or prophethood of Muhammad. - Based on Shia Islam, Muhammad declared Ali ibn Abi Talib as his successor and said that "to whomever I am a mullah (teacher), Ali is also a mullah". Accordingly, they say that the kalamah required the extension of the confession of the third phrase, Muhammad-ur-rasul-al-lah, which means Ali is his (God's) wali, the one who takes care of him, emphasizing the need for continuation of the faith to need wali, imams who truly take care of Islam. |
