| Sample Text | This a beautiful miniature of Quran, Islamic sacred book. It is very well preserved. Its small format gave opportunity to its owner to have it with him wherever who went. Qurans usually had stronger binding because they were used very often and because the owner found it precious for its contents. The paper was usually also of better quality, as well as ink used for copying and decoration. The Quran copies bear notes about life of his owner, for example birth of a son, date of purchase of the book and so on. Copying of Quran was found as a special art. Year of publishing: 1849/50. |
