| Sample Text | Fiqh is Islamic jurisprudence. It is an expansion of the Sharia Islamic law, based directly on the Quran and Sunna, that complements Sharia with interpretations of Islamic jurists. Fiqh deals with rituals, ethics and legislation in Islam. There are four prominent schools of fiqh within Sunni Islam and two within Shia practice.
