Sample Text Usul al-fiqh is a science that deals with the extensive evidence of fiqh. Since fiqh consists of either masail (questions) that refer to which rule is required from the five already existing ones or whether dalail (proofs) are used to separate and determine these questions (masail). Fiqh is therefore in fact the knowledge of masail (issues) and dalail (proofs). There are two types of these proofs (dalail): - comprehensive proofs of every kind that surround every rule, from the beginning to the end of fiqh, such as the saying "al-amrlil-wujub" (command indicates obligations) or "an-nahi lit-tahrim" (disallowance indicates prohibition). And other similar evidence. Therefore, they are part of usul al-fiqh, - detailed proofs to be understood in the light of extensive proofs. Therefore, when this is completed, the rules (ahkam) can be resolved.
