Sample Text About a hundred years before 620, battles were fought in Jatrib between the Arab and Jewish inhabitants. Muhammad advised his followers to emigrate to Medina until virtually all of his followers had left Mecca. Having been warned of the departure of the Muslims, according to tradition, the Meccans conspired to assassinate Muhammad. With the help of Ali, Muhammad deceived the Meccans who were watching him and secretly slipped out of the city with Abu Bakr. By 622, Muhammad had moved to Medina, a large agricultural oasis. Year of publication: 1770/71.
