| Sample Text | The best tafseer is the one where the Quran is explained by the Quran itself. The next in value is the one where Prophet Muhammad explains the Koran, which, as Shafi explained, acted in accordance with the principles he understood in the Koran. If nothing can be found in the Koran and the Sunnah of the Prophet, the interpreter should turn to the reports of the Sahaba (Muhammad's companions). If nothing can be found in the Qur'an, the Sunnah and the reports of the Sahaba, the interpreter should turn to the followers after Muhammad's death. However, nothing compares to the explanation of the Qur'an through the medium of the Qur'an and Muhammad's explanation of the Qur'an. Year of publication: 1331. |
