| Sample Text | Sura Al-Anbiya (Arabic: سورة الأنبياء, Sūratu al-Anbiyā, "The Prophets") is the twenty-first sura (or chapter) of the Qur'an with 112 verses. It is a Meccan surah. Her main theme is the prophets of the past who also preached the same faith as Muhammad. Some main features shown in the sura are the following: Abraham's fight against idolatry, Lot's fight against sin, Job's temptation and fight against impatience, the mention of other prophets such as Ishmael, Ezekiel and Idrisi, the fact that they are counted among the most righteous people, Mary and her innocence, Jonah's call to repentance from the whale's womb, Zechariah and his son John.
