| Sample Text | Ash-Shafi traveled extensively to teach others. He went to Medina, met Imam Maliki, memorized a large number of hadiths and learned the Muwata of Imam Maliki. He was also in Iraq twice. When he arrived there the second time, he was so famous for the knowledge he had that many Iraqi scholars followed him and rejected the innovations and deviations they accepted there. He then went to Egypt where he stayed until his death in 204 AH. There he taught others the jurisprudence of the Qur'an and the Sunnah. |
