| Sample Text | In verses 38-40 it says the following: 38: And the sun moves on its established path within a certain period. It is the decision of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. 39: And the moon, we measured the cells for it until it returns as an old dried up bent stalk. 40: It is not in the sun that it overtakes the moon, nor in the night that it surpasses the day. They all sail, each in their own orbit. According to some, this contradicts the basic scientific fact that the sun is near the center of our solar system and does not orbit the other planets. However, others might argue that, taken from a broader view of phenomena in the universe, the sun also revolves around some celestial body larger than it that we have scientific knowledge of. Just as we know that the planets revolve around the sun, so the sun and many other stars revolve around the center of the Milky Way galaxy. There is a belief that in the galactic center of the Milky Way there is a black hole of enormous mass. |
