Sample Text The structural influence of foreign languages and colloquial expressions has influenced modern standard Arabic: for example, texts of modern standard Arabic sometimes use the format "X, X, X and X" when enumerating, while in classical Arabic it sounds more like: "X and X and X and X" and the subject at the beginning of the sentence may be more common in modern than in classical Arabic. Precisely because of all this, Modern Standard Arabic is usually considered a separate language among non-native speakers of Arabic. Arabic sources usually tend to consider modern and classical Arabic as different registers of that language. Speakers of Modern Standard Arabic do not always follow the intricate rules of classical Arabic grammar.
