Sample Text The Shiites turn to three verses from Surah Al-Maidah to support their claims with the Qur'an: 5:55, 5:3, 5:67. They say that these verses refer to Ali and that the last two verses were revealed in Gadi Hum. The Shiites point to a number of hadiths which, in their opinion, show that Muhammad left special instructions to his successor. Those hadiths have special names: bara Huma, Safina, Takaline, Haq, position, warning and others. Many parts of that oral tradition were also accepted by Sunni Muslims. However, Sunnis do not accept the Shia interpretation of those hadiths. Year of publication: 1687/88.
