Sample Text The first Arabic writing in the field of geometry can be dated to the ninth century when Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi published a treatise on geometry in which there is a significant section related to geometry in his chapter on measures - bab al-misaha. After that writing, a large number of works were written in Arabic, many of which were related to Greek and other ancient manuscripts, but increasingly introducing original ideas. Those writings can be roughly divided into three main categories: • translations from Greek and other languages as well as other original works derived from them. The main source was Eucliffe's Elements, but the works of Archimedes, Apollonius, Theodosius and Menelaus were references for • contribution of geometry to other sciences, especially astronomy and • as manuals for those who supervise the construction of buildings. Year of publication: 1722.
