Notes
The first half of the Qur’an, starting with Al-Fatihah and ending in verse 93 of Surat Al-Isra, was written in the Moroccan script according to the narration of Warsh on the authority of Nafi’. The text was written in black ink, the omitted alifs, the madd, the fatha, the kasra, and the damma in red ink, the shaddah and sukun in green ink, the hamza a yellow circle, and the reduction a small red circle under the letter, framed in red ink, and for each quarter of a party a gilded circle or a gilded flower, and there are no verse breaks. The footnote has gilded and decorated flowers to indicate parts, parts, and prostrations, and the names of the surahs are in yellow ink. It has very few corrections in the footnote. It has been affected by light moisture, and has black ink in some places. Its leaves have disintegrated, and some of them have been torn and need to be repaired.
