Notes
A complete Qur’an, the beginning and the end of which are gilded and decorated, with a gilded frame. The text is written in black ink, and the pause and madd marks are in red. The verse separators are gilded flowers, and the names of the surahs are in white ink within a gilded and decorated frame. Gilded and decorated flowers were placed in the margins to indicate the parts and prostrations.

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds... — Surat An-Nas, six verses... from heaven and people... Praise be to God who created the tablet and the pen... And then, the Noble Qur’an was completed, with the help of God, the Gentle King, at the hands of the poor person in need of the pardon of his Almighty Lord, Suleiman Al-Shawqi, one of Suleiman Al-Wahbi’s disciples, may God forgive them and their parents... in the year 1268 AH.
