Notes
The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter on the words of God Almighty: {O people! We created you from a male and a female and made you into peoples and tribes that you may know one another. The most honorable of you in the sight of God is the most pious of you} ... Chapter: Read the Qur’an according to what your hearts have agreed upon... So I took it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said: “Both of you are doers of good and poor,” is the greatest of my knowledge. He said: “For those who were before you differed and were destroyed.” God knows best, the third part has been completed

أوقف وحبس وسبل وأبد هذا لله تعالى سعادة أفندم حسَن باشا حقّي، عَلى مَن يقْرأُ فيهِ من المسلمين وقْفًا صحيحًا شَرْعيًّا لا يُباعُ ولا يشترى ولا يوهَبُ ولا يرهن وجعل مقامه بخزانة الوقف تحت حرمه الست حبيبه هانم أيضًا والنظارة لها {فمن بدله بعد ما سمعه فإنما إثمه على الذين يبدلونه إن الله سميع عليم} ؛ في شوال سنة 1290 هـ.
