Praise be to God, who has no knowledge beyond His knowledge, and prayers and peace be upon Muhammad, who ruled the wilderness in his mind and dream. After this, I put an explanation on the hadith: “Actions with intentions have many benefits and many returns.” I named it with the utmost hope in explaining... ...And we conclude this book with a nice narration by Ibn al-Bukhari in the history of Baghdad on the authority of Abu al-Hasan Muhammad ibn Imam Abi al-Fadl Abd al-Malik... Ibn Asakir in the Dictionary of His Sheikhs and he died in the year five hundred and twenty-one. Ibn al-Najjar said, “And with it is the seal of the art of history.”

الحمد لله وقف كاتبه الفقير أبو بكر بن إسماعيل الشّنواني الوفائيّ الشّافعيّ، هذا الكتاب والّذي بعده على أعلم أولاد أبيه، ثمّ على من يشتغل بالعلم من ذريّته ثمّ من أقاربه الأقرب فالأقرب ثمّ على طلبة العلم الشّريف، وجعل مقرّ ذلك تحت يده ثمّ بخزانة كتبه الموقوفة الّتي برواق الرّيافة، وشرط أن لا يمكث عند أحد أكثر من شهر، وحسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل، حضر ذلك وشهد به ناصر الدّين التّلاوي

الحمدُ للهِ وقفَ كاتبُه الفَقيرُ أَبو بَكْر بْن إسْماعيلَ الشَّنواني الوفائيّ الشّافِعِيّ، هذا الكِتابِ والَّذي بعْدَه عَلى أعْلمِ أوْلادِ أَبيهِ، ثمَّ عَلى مَن يشتغل بِالعلمِ مِن ذُريَّتِه ثمَّ مِن أقارِبِه الأقْرب فالأقْرب ثمَّ عَلى طلبةِ العِلمِ الشَّريفِ، وجَعلَ مقرّ ذلِك تحتَ يدِه ثمَّ بِخِزانةِ كتُبِه الموْقوفةِ الَّتي بِرِواقِ الرّيافةِ، وشرَطَ أَن لا يمكثَ عندَ أحدٍ أَكثرَ مِن شهْرٍ، وحسْبُنا اللهُ ونعْمَ الوَكيلُ، حضَرَ ذلِك وشهِدَ بِه ناصِرُ الدّينِ التِّلاوي.#خَتْم تَملّك: الكُتبخانة الأزْهريَّة.
