The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter: {And that you may hear from those who were given the Book before you}.. Abu Al-Yaman Shuaib told us on the authority of Al-Zuhri, he said: Urwa bin Al-Zubair told me that Osama bin Zaid told him that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, rode on a donkey... Surah I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.. My father said, I asked the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and he said to me: I was told, and I said: So we say as the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.. It is done
