The opening of the manuscript: The Sheikh, the Imam, the most knowledgeable, the most learned, the distinguished scholar, said... Sir Muhammad Al-Hafsi... Thank you that I did not gain the trade of successful people by his generosity and grace, and lose the fate of the losers by his pure justice... And after that, when God granted me the seal of Sahih Imam Al-Bukhari in the year 1191, one hundred and ninety-one, there was a lot of gossip about the weight of deeds among those who attended the council, among the distinguished and virtuous scholars... so I decided to write a nice letter... ... The conclusion of the manuscript: which includes the charade in mentioning the suspect, as is known by contemplating its famous example, which is: I see you advancing one foot and delaying the other, and God Almighty knows what is correct. To Him is the return and the return. May God’s blessings be upon our Master Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the Messengers, and upon all his family and companions.
