The text of the endowment was repeated in other forms in the copy, including what was mentioned in the endowment seal, and at the end of it. #In the colophon gallery, the copyist mentioned that he is the Maliki imam in Mecca, meaning that it is written in a scholar’s handwriting. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

وقَفَ وحبَّسَ وسبَّلَ للهِ سُبْحانَه وتَعالى حضْرةِ سيّدي خَليل أغا لالة المرْحوم محمَّد سَعيد باشا، عَلى طلَبةِ العِلمِ مِن المسْلمينَ بِالجامِعِ الأحْمدي؛ أيْ مسْجد سيّدي أحْمد البدَوي عمَّت بَركاتُه، وقفًا صحيحًا شرعيًّا لا يُباعُ ولا يُشْرى وَلا يُرْهَن وَلا يوهَب ولا يورَث؛ لِقولِه تَعالى: {فمن بدله بعدما سمعه فإنما إثمه على الذين يبدلونه إن الله سميع عليم} تَحْريرًا في 11 جمادى الآخر سنةَ 1283 هـ
