The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter on pictures: Adam told us, he said: Ibn Abi Dhi’b told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Ubayd Allah Ibn Abdullah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, on the authority of my father... So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ordered them to be stoned. Ibn Umar said, so they were stoned at the court, and I saw the Jew bending over her.
