Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

وقْفيّات: السّيّد محمَّد أَحمَد المحْروقيّ، أوْقفَه عَلى طلَبةِ العِلمِ بِالجودريّة بزاويةِ الشَّيخِ العربيّ سنةَ 1240هـ. ونصُّه: "أوقفَ هذا الكتابَ المُبارَكَ عَلى طلَبةِ العِلمِ الشَّريفِ السّيّد مُحمَّد أَحْمد المحْروقيّ وجعَلَ مَقرَّه بِزاويةِ الشَّيخِ العربي بِالجودريّة وأَن لا يعير أكْثرَ مِن ثلاثةِ كَراريسَ".#- خاتَم تملّك: الكُتبخانة الأزْهريَّة 1319.
