The first leaves are missing. The first leaves are damaged and need to be repaired. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

And whoever is not able, then he must fast, for it is for him, and the chapter on whoever is unable to do so, let him fast. Omar bin Hafs bin Ghayath told us... ...Chapter on the words of God Almighty... And we set the scales with justice, and that the deeds and words of the children of Adam are weighed... Two words beloved to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue, heavy in the scales: Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great.
