Date of death of the copyist: 1280 AH | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

The book on hunting and slaughtered animals, the chapter on naming, and the saying of God Almighty, “Forbidden to you dead animals,” the verse refers to his saying, “So not.” ...Chapter on the words of God Almighty, “And We will set just scales for the Day of Resurrection, and that the deeds and words of the sons of Adam will be weighed” ... Two words beloved to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue, heavy in the scale: Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great.

وقفيَّاتٌ: «قد وَقَفَ هذا الكتابَ المستطابَ حضرة محمَّدٌ أفندي إلى روحِ أخيه حسنٍ بيك، وقفًا صحيحًا شرعيًّا لَا يُباعُ ولَا يُرهَنُ، وجعَلَ مقرَّه بخزينةِ الكُتُبِ برواقِ السَّادةِ الأتراكِ بالجامعِ الأزهرِ، جزاهُ اللهُ أجزلَ الثَّوابِ يومَ العرضِ والحسابِ، وجعَلَ الجنَّةَ دارَ المآبِ، تحريرًا سنةَ ألفٍ ومائتي وستةٍ وسبعينَ شهرَ صفرٍ».
