The copy contains valuable comments and solid quotes from a group of scholars in the footnotes. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

سبَّلَ وتصَدَّقَ للهِ الكريمِ بهذه النُّسخةِ الشريفةِ إلى اللهِ تعالى الأميرُ أحمدُ الصغيرُ على طلبةِ العلمِ الشَّريفِ، وقفًا صحيحًا شرعيًّا لَا يُباعُ ولَا يُوهَبُ ولَا يُرهَنُ ولَا يُوهَبُ، {فَمَنْ بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَ مَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ} وصلَّى اللهُ على سيدِنا محمَّدٍ، وعلى آلِه وصحبِه وسلَّمَ.
