It was noted in the card on the manuscript that it was from the Faculty of Language, No. 103. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Ali bin Abdullah told us, Sufyan told us, Amr said, Ibn Omar said: By God, I have not placed brick upon brick, nor planted a palm tree since the death of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Sufyan said, “So I mentioned him to some of his family. He said, ‘By God, he has built a house.’” Sufyan said: I said: Perhaps he said it before he built it. Done
