It has strikes on some lines and phrases in the text. | Date of death of the copyist: alive in the year 1259 AH. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

وقَفَ هذا الجزءَ وما بعدَه الراجي رحمة ربِّه جنابُ الحاج يوسفُ العقبيُّ على كلِّ من ينتفِعُ به من طلبةِ العلمِ، وجعَلَ مقرَّه برواقِ الفشنيةِ، وفوَّضَ النظرَ في ذلكَ لحضرةِ الفاضلِ السيِّدِ محمَّدٍ إبراهيمَ القاياتيِّ، وكيلِ الرواقِ المذكورِ الآنَ، ثُمَّ لمَنْ يصلحُ كذلكَ من ذريتِه، ثم ذريتِهم، وهكذا يقدم منهم الأصلحُ لذلك فالأصلحُ، ثُمَّ لمَنْ يكونُ شيخًا لذلكَ الرواقِ، وقفًا صحيحًا شرعيًّا، {فَمَنْ بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَ مَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ}.
