Tell us... Abu Al-Izz Muhammad bin Al-Mukhtar... I heard Omar bin Al-Khattab... saying: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, saying: “Actions are but by intention, and every man has what he intended.” ... ... It has reached me that if he performed Hajj without his permission, he responded, it was said to him, “Neither at your command, nor my two companions, until you return what is in your hands,” so we would not be safe from being told something like this.
