Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Actions are but by intentions, but every person has what he intended... ... The end of it: Chapter on the saying of God Almighty, ‘And We set the just scales for the Day of Resurrection’... Two words beloved to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue, heavy in the scale: Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great.
