Praise be to God who explained the Sunnah to the hearts of the people of Islam, so they were led to follow it and were comfortable listening to it, and killed the souls of the tyrants with heresy... And I saw that Imam Abu Abdullah Al-Bukhari in his Sahih collection took pains to quote from their magnificent lights... And I have sought God Almighty’s help in adding to it a summary explaining its benefits and clarifying its purposes... And I will provide an introduction to that in clarifying its rules and illustrating its benefits... The statement will be limited to it, God willing. God Almighty in ten chapters. The first: In explaining the reason that motivated him to compile this book... ...he mentioned his return to Bukhara... Al-Hasan bin Al-Hussein Al-Bazzaz said about the date of his death, and it was chronicled by Abu Al-Hussein bin Qani’, Abu Al-Hussein bin Al-Munadi, Abu Suleiman bin Zaid, and others. Al-Hussein said, “His life span was sixty-two years minus thirteen days, may God Almighty have mercy on him.” The end of the introduction, the introduction to Al-Bukhari’s explanation.
