Date of death of the copyist: (000 - District 1117 AH = 000 - District 1705 AD). | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH. | “With regard to what is permissible in mentioning people, such as their saying: long and short, to the matter of God Almighty’s saying: {Indeed, a life for a soul and an eye for an eye}.”

The work does not burden him with more than he can handle. If it burdens him with more than he can handle, let him help him with it. Chapter on what is permissible in mentioning people, such as their saying: long and short... ... Chapter on the words of God Almighty: {Indeed, a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and wounds are retaliation. So whoever gives it in charity, it is an expiation for him, and whoever does not judge by what God has revealed - those are the wrongdoers} ... Al-A’mash, on the authority of Abdullah bin Murrah, on the authority of Masruq, on the authority of Abdullah.
