The first is a table of contents. | The author of the book, Maher Taher Ismail Al-Barzanji, said about the time of writing the book: None of the authors of biographies and classes mentioned the time in which Ibn Malik wrote his book Mubariq al-Azhar, but he wrote it in the eighth century, and perhaps he wrote it before the middle of it, and God knows best.

Praise be to God for the gift of guidance and Islam and the gift of knowledge and information... And then he says... Abd al-Latif bin Abd al-Aziz, known as Ibn Malik... and when he explained the aspects of the dependents and made it sound to look at the fate... and among the luxurious books and plentiful stories that he wrote in it was the book “Mashaq Al-Anwar fi Sihah Al-Akhbar”... and it had explanations, some of which were simple and went astray from what was intended... and I sought God’s help every day and evening to explain it in a way that tells about its secrets... and I called it Mubaariq Al-Azhar in Sharh Mashariq. Al-Anwar... ... by Anas, may God be pleased with him. Muslim narrated on the authority of Labayk Umar and Hajj in the accusative case, i.e. one who wants to do Umrah, or by removing the lower case, i.e., Umrah. This indicates that he, peace and blessings of God be upon him, was a qarin. The previous discussion, and what is the most correct of the narrations contained in it, are at the beginning of Chapter Nine. Thank God for everything.
