The opening of the manuscript:
Praise be to God, and may blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of God, as for what follows: The chain of transmission is part of the religion, and had it not been for it, whoever wanted would have said whatever he wanted... Therefore, it is a blessing for me to mention in this booklet my narration of the Sahih of Imam Al-Bukhari... so I say, I narrate the authentic one, praise be to God, on the authority of our sheikh... Sheikh Hassan bin Al-Sheikh Omar, known as Al-Shatti... ... The conclusion of the manuscript:
This authentic hadith is narrated on the authority of the king of eminent scholars, and the Musnad of Egypt, the Hijaz, and the Levant, by Sheikh Abd al-Baqi, mentioned above, and God knows best.
