He said, “Mahdi bin Maymun bin Al-Ma’awli told us about the kasra of the meem, the sukoon of the neglected ayn, and the opening of the waw... meaning, tell me the name of the Ansar. You were, and for my time, were you called by it with the opening of the neglected syen and the stressed meem before the Qur’an, or did God name you with it?” Anas said, “Rather, God named us...” ... “The smoke is Makkah, except for His saying, ‘Indeed, we remove the torment.’ The verse is seven or fifty-nine verses, and by Abu Dharr Surat Hamm Al-Dukhan, in the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, was omitted. “Basmala” by someone other than Abu Dharr... and on the authority of Abu Ubaidah: “Rathu, open and joyful.”
