Notes
The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, and the saying of God Almighty: {Indeed, We have revealed to you just as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him} ... ... Chapter on Salman Al-Farsi’s conversion to Islam, may God be pleased with him... On the authority of Asim Al-Ahwal, on the authority of Abu Uthman, on the authority of Suleiman, who said the period between Jesus and Muhammad, may God bless them both, was six hundred years. The first part is done.

قدْ وقَفَ هذه النُّسخةَ الجليلةَ سلطانُنا الأعظمُ، والخاقانُ المعظَّمُ، مالكُ البريْنِ والبحريْنِ، خادمُ الحرميْنِ الشريفيْنِ، السلطانُ بنُ السلطانِ، السلطانُ الغازي محمودٌ خان وقفًا صحيحًا شرعيًّا، لمن طالَعَ وتلى أكرمه اللهُ تعالى بالزُّلفِ والحُسنى، حرَّرَه الفقيرُ أحمدُ شيخ زادة المفتِّشُ بأوقافِ الحرميْنِ الشريفيْنِ غُفِرَ لهمُا»، ووضع تحته خاتمه.ثمَّ خاتمُ وقفٍ نُقِشَ بداخلِه ما نصُّه: «{الْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلَا أَنْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ} وقفُ محمودٍ خان بن مصطفى خان
