There are some side headings that explain what is in the text. | Date of death of the copyist: 1149 AH. | The date of completion of the book's writing was confirmed from the Library of the Chief Writer, No. (194); It was stated in it: “The author, may God Almighty have mercy on him, said that his collection, Ahmad bin Ali, was completed... on the first day of Rajab Al-Farad in the year one hundred and eight forty-two, except for what he added to this booklet on the twelfth of Rajab of that year. He collected the introduction in the year thirteen and began explaining it in the beginning of the year seventeen, and praise be to God.”

Praise be to God who has enlightened the hearts of the people of Islam with guidance and poked the hearts of the people of tyranny so that they will never be aware of wisdom... And after I have begun what I intended from explaining Al-Jami’ Al-Sahih... I called it Fath Al-Bari with Sharh Al-Bukhari. ...Chapter: The person in seclusion brings his head into the house to wash...The first part of Fath al-Bari has been completed.
