The titles and important words were written in gold and sometimes in red, the text was written in black, and in the margins there were writings in black and red. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Yahya bin Bukayr told us... on the authority of Omar bin Al-Khattab that a man during the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, whose name was Abdullah, was nicknamed Donkey... ... Chapter on the saying of God Almighty {And We set the scales justly}... The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Two words beloved to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue and heavy in the scale, Glory be to God and by His extension, Glory be to God the Great.
