Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.... Al-Saghani said... Praise be to God, the reviver of the wretched, the flower of the pen, the scatterer of nations, and the creator of the breeze, so that they may worship Him and not associate others with Him. And he said... Muhammad bin Mahmoud bin Ahmad... The L is for definition, and the definition of the L is to distinguish what is intended by its entry... ... (Q) Salamah bin Al-Akwa’, may God be pleased with him, O son of Al-Akwa’, “I possessed, so prostrate.” And his saying, “I possessed, so prosper” by cutting off the hamza, a silent sīn, a broken jim, then a neglected haa, and its meaning is gentle and good, that is, do not take it harshly, for spite has occurred against the enemy. God knows best, and this is the end of the first part of Al-Ishraq in Sharh Mashariq Al-Anwar.
