The copy is missing and has holes The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

The book of sales and the saying of God Almighty, and God has permitted trade and forbids usury and His saying, “Unless it is a present trade that you manage among yourselves, a chapter mentioned in the saying of God Almighty. Then when the prayer is finished, spread out over the earth and seek God’s bounty, and remember God much, that you may succeed... ... As for the unjust, he is the unjust. Ahmad ibn Ashkab narrated to me, Muhammad ibn Fudail narrated to us, on the authority of Amara ibn Al-Qaqa’, on the authority of Abu Zur’ah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him. On his authority, he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Two words that are light on the tongue are heavy on the scale.
