The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Book of Conquests, Chapter on the Conquest of the Clan or the Hardship. Ibn Ishaq said: The first battle of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was Al-Abwa, then Bawaat, then Al-Asirah... ...Chapter on the words of God Almighty: {And We set up just scales for the Day of Resurrection}... The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Two words that are disgraceful to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue and heavy in the scale: Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great.” The end of the mosque was completed.
