Date of death of the copyist: (000 - District 884 AH = 000 - District 1480 AD). | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Sheikh Imam Al-Bukhari said... Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the saying of God Almighty: {Indeed, We have revealed to you} the verse... ...Chapter on the one who secludes his head towards the house for washing... On the authority of Aisha, she used to dismount the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, while she was menstruating while he was secluded in the mosque, and she was in her room giving her his head, may God bless him and grant him peace. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds. We completed the first quarter.
