Incomplete first. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter: If he buys food or an animal and places it with the seller, or he dies before he receives it... Chapter: Among the evidence that the fifth is for the Muslims’ calamities... He did not allocate any of it to anyone who missed the conquest of Khaybar, except for those who testified with him, except for the owners of our ship with Ja’far and his companions. He divided it for them with them. We completed the third part... which is the last of the twelfth part of the parts of the Father of Time.

وقَفَ وتصدَّقَ بِهذا الكِتابِ الفَقيرُ إِلى اللهِ تَعالى الحاج عُثمان كتخدى ابْن عليّ هذا الكِتاب عَلى طلَبةِ العِلمِ بِالجامِعِ الأزْهرِ، وجعَلَ مقرَّه بِرواقِ الشّوامّ وقْفًا صحيحًا شَرعيًّا لا يُباعُ ولا يوهَب {فمن بدله بعد ما سمعه فإنما إثمه على الذين يبدلونه إن الله سميع عليم}، وشرَطَ أَن لا يخْرجَ مِن محلِّهِ إِلى بلدٍ آخَر، وأَن لا يعير أكْثر مِن أرْبعةِ كَراريسَ لأَجْلِ الحفْظِ والصيانة
