It contains comments, corrections, and transcription differences in the margin. Some pages were written in a different handwriting, from folio (1) to folio (32), from (163) to (191), from (307) to (337), and from (373) to (411). | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

وقَفَ وما قبلَه الأربعةَ الأجزاءَ على طلبةِ الحديثِ العبدُ الفقيرُ إلى اللهِ تعالى محمَّدٌ مرتضى الحسينيُّ، غُفِرَ له، ومقرُّه بجامع المرحومِ محرمٍ أفندي بسويقة لالا، تقبَّلَ اللهُ منه ذلكَ، حامدًا للهَ تعالى على نعمائِه، وصلواته وسلامُه على سيدِ أنبيائِه وآلِه، كتبَ في 14رمضانَ سنةَ 1193.
