Date of death of the copyist: Alive in the ninth century AH. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH. | It is followed at the beginning of the twenty-second part by the chapter on the abundance of women.

Al-Hujurat: And Mujahid said, “Do not come forward and do not feed on the Messenger of God, may God bless his family and grant him peace... ... Chapter: Whoever is unable to do so, let him fast... الوقفُ: وقفيات: ونص الوقف: الحمدُ للهِ ربِّ العالمينَ، وقفَ مولانا السلطانُ الملكُ الأشرف أبو النَّصرِ برسباي، خلد الله تعالى ملكه هذا الصحيح البخاري وعدة أجزاء ثلاثون جزءا وجعل مقره خزانةِ كتب مدرسته التي أنشأها بالقاهرة المحروسة وشرط أن لا يخرج من المدرسة المذكورة لا برهن ولا بغيره وقفا صحيحا شرعيا لا يباع ولا يوهب ولا يرهن وبه شهد عليه في حادي عشرين شهر رجب سنة إحدى وأربعين وثمانمائة، شهدت على الوقف بذلك، كتبه عبد الرزاق بن حمزة الحسيني. #بها تعليقات وتصحيحات وفروق نسخ في الهامش.
