Notes The chapters are written in red and are braided and have traces of earth and cuts, and the dots are neglected. Some of the chapters are in yellow and have tamilaks and readings on them, the last of which was in the year 1224 AH | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.
