As for what follows, know that the book Al-Jami’ Al-Sahih by the one great Imam and presenter of the scholars of hadith, Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail bin Ibrahim Al-Bukhari, may God have mercy on him, is one of the greatest books compiled in Islam and the most beneficial... And I named this blessed book the explicit abstraction of the hadiths of Al-Jami’ Al-Sahih... ...on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Two words that are beloved to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue and heavy.” In the scale, Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great, the summary was completed with God’s help...

وقَفَ هذا الكِتابَ السّيّد مُحمَّد الدَّواخلي عَلى طلَبةِ العِلمِ جَميعًا، وجعَلَ مَقرَّه رِواقَ الشّوامّ بِالأزْهرِ، وشرطَ أَن لا يُعير منهُ إلا لأمين، والوَصيّ في ذلِك السّيّد مُحمَّد المحْروقيّ، {فمن بدله بعد ما سمعه فإنما إثمه على الذين يبدلونه إن الله سميع عليم}.
