I wrote the titles, the words we spoke to, and the frames I wrote in red ink, while I wrote the rest of the text in black. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH. | From the book of sacrifices and hunting to the chapter on the Almighty’s saying: “And We set the scales with justice.”

The Book of Slaughter and Hunting, Chapter on naming hunting and the Almighty’s saying {O you who have believed, God will surely test you with some kind of game} to His saying {A painful punishment} and His saying, glory be to Him... ... Chapter on the Almighty’s saying {And We set the scales just}... Light on the tongue, heavy in the scale. Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great. This is the last book.

أوقَفَ وحبَّسَ وتصدَّقَ للهِ سُبْحانَه وتَعالى المكرَّمُ صالِح محمَّد نخلة الماوَرديّ هذا الجزْءَ الشَّريفَ، وهُو الجُزءُ الرّابعُ من صَحيحِ البُخاريِّ وجعَلَ مقرَّه بِرواقِ السَّادةِ المَغارِبةِ بِالجامِعِ الأزْهرِ، لِلانتِفاعِ بِه وعوْدِ ثوابِ ذلِك إليْه، وقفًا صحيحًا {فمن بدله بعدما سمعه فإنما إثمه على الذين يبدلونه إن الله سميع عليم} في 15 ذو القعْدةِ سنةَ 1291 هـ.
