The title was written within a gilded and colored frame. Decorations on the cover The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

عليها الكثيرُ منَ التَّعليقاتِ والنُّقولاتِ والزِّياداتِ.#تملك ورد في قيد الفراغ ونصه: علقه لنفسه ثم لمن شاء الله من بعده الفقير إلى رحمة ربه المعترف بذنبه، عبد اللطيف بن محمد بن محمد الحنبلي بالعمري.#قراءات ومقابلات: عليها الكثير من فروق النسخ والبلاغات، وفي آخرها قيد القراءة والمقابلة وهي على الشيخ ابن ناصر الدين الدمشقي، ونصه "الحمد لله، بلغ الشيخ تقي الدين أبو بكر ابن المصري الحلبي أعزه الله تعالى قراءة ومعارضة في عدة مجالس آخرها في ثالث صفر سنة 841 بدمشق وذلك على كاتبه محمد بن أبي بكر بن عبد الله عفا الله عنهما وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم تسليما كثيرًا".
